So, as I was saying, I recently changed hosting companies for this blog and all my other sites, domains, and all. I cavalierly decided to delete my slicehost account before having everything set up and working over here, which was infinitely foolish of me. Turns out that if you want to back up a wordpress blog, it's generally better to export it using the regular wordpress export tool than to just back up the files and back up the database and totally forget that you're moving to a host where you won't have your own MySQL server. I guess I really should've thought that through a little more, but really if anything it's the fault of Slicehost for making everything—including canceling your account—far too easy to do. Those bastards!
Not to worry, space cadets; our regularly-scheduled programming will now resume.
